2023 Reflections

Reflecting and celebrating a busy 2023 and all the miles and memories with favorite puppetry and theatre moments this year - in no particular order:

1 - Emceeing at the DPAC for the Rocky Mountain Puppet Slam with my new LED puppet Crystal, and debuting a new piece Red Masque of Death with Katy Williams and Julie Talty and team, to a sold-out show of nearly 500 in the audience (photo by Daniel Sarche)

2 - Performing a two woman show "One Last Thing Before I Go" by Rebecca Gorman O'Neill for And Toto, Too in Denver at the Roaming Gnome Theatre and working with the best ever team with Susan Lyles, Kate Poling, and Melissa McCarl (photo by Soular Radiant Photography)

3 - Emceeing for Felt Up! at the DPAC for two shows with standing ovations in one of my favorite ever moments in theatre with one of the best teams and two amazing producers Polka Dottie and Katy Williams (photo by Heather M Henning with Clifton Marie Photography)

4 - Performing Snowy Tales in Bogotá, Colombia - and helping the high school class make puppets for the middle schoolers to perform for the elementary school, and putting the show together in one morning class - made possible by the amazing Tricia Clark and Dani who gave me the most amazing trip and tour of the country!

5- Writing and getting a grant to perform "Shine the Musical" by Beth Osnes at 7 Minute Springs in Manitou Springs with our amazing Dragon Theatre Productions team - celebrating our 15th year of community-inclusive theatre!

6 - Performing Avenue Q in Pueblo with my sis, all my besties, and such an amazing cast and crew, produced by the amazing Wynot Productions by Cory Moosman and Sammy Gleason!

7 - Our "Cooking in Space" film of Fluffy and Other Parts of Me being shown this year at the RM Puppet Slam at the DPAC, in Bogotá, Colombia, and in Winnipeg, Canada for the Winnipeg Puppet Slam

8 - Teaching and making Bunnicula for the Red Rocks Community College production of Bunnicula and working with the amazing Kelly Jo Eldredge and team!

9 - Meeting Kirk Thatcher at the Colorado Festival of Horror

10 - Being a speaker on community-inclusive theatre practices for the Colorado Community Theatre Coalition and making new friends with the Wesley Players and All-In Ensemble!
